Why ToonTone Builder uses SAM RLE
Simple flood fill only works on flat connected colors. SAM RLE can describe arbitrary object regions, including textured, shaded, or disconnected parts. That makes uploaded characters more reliable for a color guessing game.
Uploads stay private until approved
Submitted images create pending D1 records and private R2 objects. They are not added to the public game, sitemap, or character directory until moderation approves them.
